Born in Queens, New York and raised in New Jersey, nancy P. was the first in her family to discover a passion for acting and filmmaking. She received her degree and began her career in broadcasting, behind the camera and as an on-air personality for commercial radio station, WINK 106 FM in Elmira, New York.
After relocating to Los Angeles in 1999, she began immersing herself in the craft of acting, and has done so for nearly 15 years. Her studies consist of a variety of schools, including The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London, where she studied Shakespeare, Jacobean Tragedy and Restoration Comedy. She has also enjoyed studying and performing improvisation with organizations, L.A. Connection in Los Angeles, and The Red Tie Mafia in New York City.
nancy P. has worked in over 40 feature films, television programs, plays and short films. Her film/TV credits include: Private Number, with Tom Sizemore and Judd Nelson; Rift, with Leslie Easterbrook; horror film, Spike; a starring role in Passing Through, for which she received a Best Actress Award, and Discovery ID Channel’s, REDRUM and STALKED.
Her NY and LA stage credits include lead roles in: The Tenant, The Ryan Case 1873, The Lombardi Case 1975, Moon Over Buffalo, Beirut, Danny and the Deep Blue Sea and Fortinbras, for which she received her very first Best Actress Award. Her acting has presented her with numerous awards and has premiered throughout the world, including the Edinburgh International Film Festival.
Alongside acting, nancy P. is an ardent creator, music composer, and editor. Having developed her own private company, Start Motion Editing, she completed her first feature length documentary entitled, Mobile. The film is an amusing and innovative look at 6 creative and diverse working class adults, who struggle not only with their shared day job, but with their own obstacles as well. She describes the film as “an outrageous, erratic tale filled with sincerity, openness and truth.”
