Bio
I began my career on the East Coast, earning my degree in Broadcasting while moonlighting as an on-air personality for commercial radio station WINK 106 FM in Elmira, New York.
As a child who spent countless hours creating radio shows in her bedroom with homemade sound effects, countless voices, and a boombox, I fell in love with creating stories and characters meant to ignite passion and thought. It wasn’t until I moved to Los Angeles in 1999 that I immersed myself in show business. My years of studies incorporate voice, movement, and acting training with The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London, where I studied Shakespeare, Jacobean Tragedy, and Restoration Comedy.
My passion for the human condition afforded me work in over 40 feature films, television programs, plays, and short films. Some of my film/TV credits include Private Number, with Tom Sizemore and Judd Nelson; Rift, with Leslie Easterbrook; horror film, Spike; a starring role in Passing Through, for which I received a Best Actress Award, and Discovery ID Channel’s, REDRUM and STALKED.
As my zeal for creation grew, I soon developed my private venture, Start Motion Editing. Doing so allowed me to work with other passionate creators looking to sell their brands or services. Alongside editing jobs, I kept busy shooting, producing, and editing my feature-length documentary, Mobile. The film is an amusing, innovative look at six creative and diverse working-class adults who struggle with their shared day jobs while battling personal obstacles. I describe the film as an outrageous, erratic tale filled with sincerity, openness, and truth.
Later, I moved back to New York City to work on television and theater projects. Living in a new city offered me an opportunity to witness people getting sicker and more confused about their health and their pain. And it was after moving to Las Vegas that I launched a brand new, rewarding career as a Nationally Board Certified Health Coach (NBC-HWC) and Behavior Change Specialist (BCS).
During my pursuits in the health industry, I chose to resurrect the novella I started writing at age 11. Four years later, I am blessed to have been allowed to coach patients in an advanced primary care clinic during the day while completing my manuscript at night.
I have worked in the healthcare industry for the last seven years, creating trusting bonds with patients looking to improve their lives and well-being. I specialize in group and individual health coaching in all areas of health and wellness, from weight loss and stress management to pain neuroscience and personal growth. Alongside completing my first novel, I find health coaching rewarding and worthwhile.
My novel, Brave, is set to be released in March 2025. I am thrilled about this release and encourage everyone who reads it to send me a note and let me know what you think!
